Josh McDonald (31), is a singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Victoria, who has been playing shows around Melbourne for nearly 10 years with his band Royal Parade.  In that time he has been busy writing, recording, collaborating and performing his original music in Melbourne, the UK, Switzerland and most recently California, USA.  Josh is probably best known as “The High School Teacher” from Season 3 of the mega-hit television show “THE VOICE.”  He impressed the coaches with his soulful rendition of Damian Rice’s ‘The Blower’s Daughter’ and became part of Team Ricky for 2014, making it to the final 30. Post-filming, Josh has had some amazing opportunities to sing at events such as the Ted Whitten Legends Game as well as the Australian Teenage Expo, but he has predominantly been focusing on his original music whilst continuing to indulge his other passion, teaching history and law at an local Melbourne high school.
